K403 is a precipitation-strengthened nickel-based cast superalloy developed by the Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials (BIAM) and standardized under Chinese Aviation Standard HB5155-1996. Its chemistry features high aluminum (5.7%), moderate chromium (11%), and additions of cobalt (5.3%), tungsten (5.2%), and molybdenum (4.2%), producing a dense γ′ precipitate network that delivers excellent creep-rupture strength and thermal fatigue resistance at temperatures up to 950°C (1740°F).
