Product Overview

N6 is the entry-level pure nickel grade under the GB/T 5235 classification system, equivalent to the purity of standard electrolytic nickel cathode. It is the most widely produced and consumed pure nickel wrought product in China, used extensively for caustic soda handling equipment, nickel plating anodes, and alkali-resistant chemical process components.

While its higher iron and carbon content make it marginally less corrosion-resistant than N4 or N5 in the most aggressive alkaline conditions, N6's cost advantage (typically 10-20% lower than N5) makes it the default choice for general corrosion service.
