Stainless steel and nickel-based alloys are two core corrosion-resistant metal materials widely used in modern industrial manufacturing. Although both have anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties, their base composition, high-temperature performance, corrosion resistance grade and application scenarios are completely different, which is the key basis for industrial material selection.
Stainless steel is an iron-based alloy with chromium as the main alloying element. Relying on the passivation film formed by chromium, it can resist atmospheric corrosion, fresh water erosion and mild acid and alkali environments. Conventional grades such as 304 and 316L have stable performance, economical cost and excellent processability, and are widely used in general machinery, building structures, water supply pipelines, food equipment and ordinary chemical containers. However, stainless steel is limited by its iron-based structure, and it is difficult to resist strong chloride corrosion, concentrated acid medium and long-term high-temperature oxidation above 600°C.

Nickel-based alloys take high-purity nickel as the matrix, and add chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, copper and other precious alloy elements for composite strengthening. Typical materials include Hastelloy series, Inconel series, Monel series and high-temperature GH series alloys. With stable face-centered cubic microstructure, nickel alloys maintain excellent toughness, creep resistance and structural stability under ultra-low temperature and high-temperature working conditions above 900°C. At the same time, they have super resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion in strong acid, alkali, salt mist and high-chloride environments.
In industrial engineering, stainless steel is the preferred material for conventional and low-corrosion working conditions to balance cost and performance. Nickel alloys are irreplaceable core materials for extreme working conditions such as petrochemical refining, flue gas desulfurization, marine engineering, deep-sea equipment, high-temperature furnaces and aerospace precision parts.
We supply a full range of stainless steel and nickel alloy products, including round bars, seamless pipes, plates and custom processed parts. All materials comply with international ASTM, EN and DIN standards, complete MTC certificates are provided, and spot supply and customized production can be realized.
