Nimonic 90 (UNS N07090, W.Nr. 2.4632) is a premium nickel–chromium–cobalt precipitation-hardening superalloy engineered for extreme high-temperature and high-stress applications. Shanghai Hangbo Alloy Group Co., Ltd. supplies certified Nimonic 90 round bar, plate and tube manufactured in strict compliance with AMS 5829, DIN 2.4632, UNS N07090 and related international specifications, delivering consistent quality for aerospace, energy, petrochemical and motorsport industries.

Product Overview

Nimonic 90 achieves its outstanding high-temperature strength through precipitation of the gamma-prime (γ') phase (Ni3(Ti,Al)) during solution treatment and aging. The alloy is produced via vacuum induction melting (VIM) combined with electroslag remelting (ESR) for high cleanliness and a uniform, homogeneous microstructure, followed by precision hot and cold working to guarantee accurate dimensions, smooth surfaces and defect-free material for demanding forming and machining operations.

Available Product Forms & Specifications

  • Round Bar: hot-rolled or forged, diameter 5 mm – 500 mm, supplied in solution-treated or solution + aged condition.
  • Plate & Sheet: thickness 0.5 mm – 100 mm, cut to size, with certified mill test reports.
  • Tube & Pipe: seamless, outside diameter 6 mm – 219 mm, wall thickness per customer drawing.
  • Custom machining, forging and finish per drawing; material test certificates and EN 10204 3.1 documentation available.

Heat Treatment

Solution treatment: 1080 – 1120 °C, holding 2 – 4 hours, air cooled. Aging treatment: 700 – 800 °C, holding 16 – 20 hours, air cooled. The precipitation-hardening response develops the full high-temperature strength of the alloy and is verified by tensile and hardness testing on every heat.

Applications

  • Aerospace: gas turbine blades, combustion chambers, turbine discs and high-temperature fasteners for aircraft engines.
  • Energy: gas turbine components, heat exchangers and high-temperature bolting in power generation plant.
  • Petrochemical & Chemical: high-temperature reactor internals, valve stems and drilling tools in aggressive environments.
  • Automotive & Motorsport: turbocharger rotors and high-performance engine valves.

Quality Assurance & Certification

Every Nimonic 90 heat is inspected before dispatch: chemical composition analysis, tensile and hardness testing, dimensional verification and surface defect detection. Complete quality documentation is supplied with each order, including material test reports, heat certificates and compliance certificates, ensuring full traceability to international standards.
