Nimonic 75 (UNS N06075 / 2.4951) is a nickel-chromium alloy with good mechanical properties and oxidation resistance at high temperatures. It is primarily used for applications requiring robust resistance to oxidation and scaling at temperatures up to 1000°C (1832°F). The alloy is easily fabricated and can be welded by all standard processes.

Production & Processing

Nimonic 75 is produced by VIM or AOD melting. Hot working is performed between 1050-1200°C. Solution annealing is typically carried out at 1050°C followed by rapid cooling. It exhibits excellent fabricability and can be cold worked using standard methods.
